Terms of Use

By accessing or using micropay-test-suite (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by an independent individual (the "operator"), not through a registered company.

1. What this Service does

The Service lets a developer, AI agent, or automated system send a small test payment (currently Base Sepolia testnet only — no real-value assets) to verify that an x402-style payment flow works end-to-end, and view aggregate, anonymous statistics about past test runs.

2. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY GIVEN TIME. IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID THE OPERATOR TO USE IT, WHICH IS ZERO.

3. Assumption of risk

You acknowledge that interacting with blockchain networks, smart contracts, third-party facilitators, and cryptographic key material carries inherent risk, including but not limited to: loss of funds, network downtime, smart contract or facilitator failure, and errors in transaction signing or submission. You are solely responsible for the wallet, private key, and funds you choose to use with the Service. Never use a wallet or key that holds real value; the Service is designed for disposable, testnet-only credentials.

4. Release of claims

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in exchange for being permitted to access and use the Service at no cost, you hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the operator from and for any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, of whatever kind or nature, arising out of or related to any damage, loss, or injury (including loss of funds) that may be sustained by you in connection with your use of the Service, whether caused by the negligence of the operator or otherwise, to the fullest extent such a release is permitted by applicable law. This release does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

5. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR AND ANY AGENTS OR CONTRIBUTORS (INCLUDING AUTOMATED/AI AGENTS) INVOLVED IN BUILDING OR RUNNING THE SERVICE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL — ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IF, NOTWITHSTANDING SECTION 4, A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION HOLDS THIS LIMITATION UNENFORCEABLE AS TO ANY CLAIM, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR THAT CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (ZERO, AS THE SERVICE IS FREE), OR (B) USD $100.

6. Individual capacity; no professional duty

The Service is an independent, unpaid, personal hobby project. The operator acts in an individual capacity, not through a company, and makes no representation of being a licensed financial institution, money transmitter, broker, custodian, or professional advisor of any kind. No fiduciary, agency, partnership, joint-venture, employment, or other special relationship is created between you and the operator by your use of the Service. You are not a customer of a regulated service; you are a user of free, experimental, personal software.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and services (including but not limited to blockchain networks, payment facilitators, and hosting providers) that we do not control and are not responsible for. Their availability, correctness, and terms are governed separately.

9. No professional advice

Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

10. Dispute resolution; no class actions

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact the operator (see Contact, below) and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally may be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. You and the operator each waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here prevents either party from bringing an individual claim in small claims court.

11. Force majeure

The operator is not liable for any failure or delay in the Service resulting from causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to blockchain network congestion or failure, third-party facilitator or infrastructure outages, internet or hosting provider failures, acts of god, or changes in law or regulation.

12. Severability; entire agreement; no waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. The operator's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms or the Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
